Department of the Arts, Sport and Recreation
About us
The Department of the Arts, Sport and Recreation was established in March 2006. It combines the functions of 15 existing agencies to improve opportunities for public recreation and participation in community and cultural activities.
The Department combines the skills and resources of NSW Sport and Recreation, Centennial and Moore Park Trust, the State Sports Centre Trust, the agencies of the former Ministry for the Arts (now Arts NSW), and the former Department of Gaming and Racing (now the Office of Liquor, Gaming and Racing).
It also has administrative relationships with Parramatta Park Trust and several other sport and recreation venue Trusts in NSW.
